The Port Discovery Children’s Museum is currently undergoing a major overhaul to bring a slew of new and improved exhibits to local kids this spring. In the meantime, the museum is hosting a few pop-up exhibits to keep your youngsters entertained, including the Construction Zone at The Atrium at Port Discovery and the Pop-Up Play Space at The Shops at Kenilworth.
The Construction Zone is open every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday at The Atrium with a lineup of STEM-inspired activities for budding brainiacs. They can design and build their own miniature robot, launch a toy rocket toward the moon, or crawl and play in the Game Zone. Meanwhile, at the Shops at Kenilworth, the museum’s Pop-Up Play Space offers similar opportunitues to build, learn, and create in different zones. The Oasis is also open at the museum during construction, so pull up a pillow and read a book with your youngsters in this quiet space.
