Baltimore has no shortage of bars. So what does it take for a place like The Brewer’s Art to distinguish itself and become not only one of the city’s most popular places to have a beer, but also to be named the best bar in the United States by national publications? Well, you start with the beer, of course. Three house beers (Birdhouse, Beazly, and Resurrection) are accompanied by a spate of seasonal offerings to appeal to any palate.
Next, The Brewer’s Art gives its patrons various ways to enjoy their beers. At the open seating downstairs bar, you can nurse a pint along with your meal from the pub menu (burgers, sandwiches, mac and cheese) or get a growler filled to take back to The Fitzgerald, while in the upstairs dining room (reservations recommended at peak times) you can enjoy upscale entrees like grilled Rohan duck and poached salmon or prix-fixe meals with beer pairings.
