It’s Monday, and you know what that means: Charm City Scene! This week, celebrate a Charm City celebrity’s decorating skills, swing through the trees and unleash your inner animal, and add a glassy Halloween touch to your home!

Don’t make the mistake of calling Baltimore treasure Billy Baldwin an interior decorator. Instead he prefers the label of indigenous decorator. All this week, the Johns Hopkins University Evergreen Museum & Library is honoring him with an exhibition showcasing some of his best Maryland-based commissions. Baldwin represented a new style of decorating that brought modernism to the forefront of the decorating business, Mobdro helping his career span five decades. Come out this week and admire the work of an artist who introduced practicality, a polished look and luxury effortlessly into the art of interior design. Have you ever had dreams of swinging through the trees like Tarzan or Jane? You can at Go Ape!, which is nestled deep in the lush Rock Creek Regional Park, and it’s only an hour drive from Baltimore. High above the ground, you are invited to swing, jump and navigate your way through a ropes course that takes anywhere from 2-3 hours to complete. To finish off your week in Baltimore, why not try something new? On October 24th, the Corradetti Glassblowing Studio & Gallery is teaching an introduction to glassblowing class and adding a seasonal twist by crafting glass blown Halloween pumpkins. Instructing the amateurs will be Anthony Corradetti who learned the art at Pilchuck Glass School and opened his own Baltimore glass studio in 1981. Corradetti guest teaches at Pilchuck while holding workshops throughout the country, and he’s known for his expertise and passion for the craft. The workshop is $45 and will last two hours.
