Looking for a sweet treat you can feel good about eating? Well lucky for you, Hampden has some tasty treats puffing up on The Avenue at Puffs & Pastries.
For just over 2 years, Anisha Japtap has been whipping up unique baked goods from her adorable Hampden store. One thing that helps Puffs & Pastries stand out is their emphasis on the use of natural, fresh, local, and seasonal ingredients. They also never add shortening, margarine, or any other butter substitute in their treats. The idea of a healthy pastry might be a bit of a contradiction, but we think it’s safe to say when you eat at Puffs, you’ll know what you’re consuming (besides a delicious pastry!). In fact, Puffs & Pastries has created some very interesting pastry creations, like Earl Grey tea cakes, carrot sage cupcakes, and squash blossom savories.
Besides having great treats available daily in their shop, they also do custom orders for events, weddings, and holiday parties (fruit cake and yule logs anyone?). If you’re having a hankering for a little adventure that will indulge your sweet and savory teeth, take a trip up to Puffs & Pastries in Hampden.
